Silage quality has an impact on the zootechnical results of dairy farming.
That's why it's vital that it is properly stored. Our silage clamp covers are very robust and effectively protect the plastic film covering the silage from birds and other small animals. In addition, its high mechanical strength can support both operator passage and the weight of a bovine hoof without damaging the plastic film and the silage.
A cover that is properly handled and stored can be reused for more than ten years.
In order to properly preserve the silage, it is important not to use earth, sand or tyres to weight down the plastic film (risk of stagnant water and foreign bodies).
Our covers, placed directly onto the plastic film and anchored with specific gravel bags, make it possible to optimise this preservation.
